Reviewed by Jack Martin, Senior Specialist at AirFiesta. About AirFiesta

Riyadh Air sells Lite, Smart and Flex fare bundles in Economy and Premium Economy, and Smart, Flex and Elite in Business. Its help pages cover flight changes, a 24-hour cooling-off period, cancellations, no-shows and refunds, which it says are typically processed within 14 days. The detailed rules and fee amounts did not load for us, so this page does not quote any. Treat any site that lists exact Riyadh Air change fees with caution.

Riyadh Air fare bundles

Your fare bundle decides what you can change, so find it in your booking confirmation first. Riyadh Air's fare bundles page lists these names:

What Riyadh Air's help pages cover

Riyadh Air's help pages are built in JavaScript, and the section text did not load for us. We could confirm which topics exist:

  • Manage your order: flight changes after order purchase, a cooling-off period, cancellations after the 24-hour cooling-off period, a no-show policy, refunds, upsell and downgrade conditions, and ancillary services.
  • Cancel and refund: refunds before departure on a fully unused order, after departure on a partly used order, refunds after an upgrade, and how to request a refund. Refunds are typically processed within 14 days.
  • Flight disruption policy: refunds, support and delay compensation up to 150 SDR.

Riyadh Air calls a booking an order, so you will see that word on its pages and in its app.

Riyadh Air change fees

We could not find a published Riyadh Air change fee. The text that would hold fees did not load, and we will not guess. Older guides list dollar ranges by fare, waived fees for higher fares and discounts for booking online. We could not match any of those to Riyadh Air's documents, so we have not repeated them. Before you agree to a change, check the amount Riyadh Air shows for your own booking.

Change fee vs. fare difference

A change can include two separate amounts. A change charge is whatever your fare bundle requires, and it can be zero. The fare difference is the gap between your original fare and the price of the new flight. If you move to a cheaper flight, do not assume the difference comes back to you, since many airlines do not refund it on voluntary changes. Ask before you confirm.

Example (illustrative numbers, not Riyadh Air fares): You paid 400 and the new flight costs 450.

The fare difference is 50. Any change charge for your bundle is added on top, and the total should be shown before you confirm.

How to change your Riyadh Air flight

Change your Riyadh Air flight yourself

  1. Go to riyadhair.com or open the Riyadh Air app and find your order.
  2. Check your fare bundle and the change options shown for your order.
  3. Choose the new flight, then review any charge and fare difference before you pay.
  4. Confirm, then save the new itinerary and check your seats and bags again.

If you booked with AirFiesta

  1. Use the at the bottom of the page, or email support@airfiesta.com with your AirFiesta booking reference.
  2. We check your fare rules and send you the options, with Riyadh Air's charges, any fare difference and our US$10 per passenger service fee listed separately.
  3. Once you approve, we make the change with Riyadh Air and email the new itinerary.

Riyadh Air 24-hour cooling-off period

Riyadh Air's Manage your order page has a "Cooling off period" section and a later section titled "Cancellations after the 24 hour cooling off period". That tells us a 24-hour window exists, and that cancellations after it follow different rules. We could not read the conditions, for example whether the flight must be a minimum number of days away or whether every channel qualifies. Do not rely on a free 24-hour cancellation until you have confirmed it for your booking on riyadhair.com.

Cancel a Riyadh Air flight and refunds

Riyadh Air's cancel and refund page separates three situations: a fully unused order before departure, a partly used order after departure, and a refund after an upgrade. Its summary says refunds are typically processed within 14 days. Which fares are refundable, and what is deducted, are in the text we could not read. If you booked through an agency, the cancellation and any refund go through the agency.

Riyadh Air no-show policy

Riyadh Air's Manage your order page includes a "No-show policy" section, but its wording did not load for us. Across airlines, a missed flight often cancels the rest of the trip, so act before departure.

  1. If the flight has not left, change or cancel it before departure.
  2. If it has left, contact Riyadh Air or the agency that issued your ticket straight away.
  3. Ask about the whole itinerary before you buy a new ticket.
  4. If you booked with AirFiesta, call or message us before departure.

Riyadh Air name correction

We could not find a name-correction procedure or fee on the pages we could read, so we will not quote one. Check every name against the passport before you pay. If there is a spelling error, contact Riyadh Air or the issuing agency as soon as you notice, before you travel. If the traveller changes, plan on a new booking unless Riyadh Air confirms otherwise.

If Riyadh Air changes or cancels your flight

Riyadh Air's flight disruption policy page describes refunds, support and delay compensation up to 150 SDR. We could not read when compensation applies, what counts as a significant delay or how to claim. The help page also points to a passenger rights claim process with a reference number. Use Riyadh Air's own page for your flight and keep every notice you receive.

Changing Riyadh Air tickets booked elsewhere

Booked through a travel agent or another site

The agency that issued your ticket controls the booking, and Riyadh Air's fare rules apply on top of any fee the agency charges. Ask the agency how it handles changes.

Booked directly with Riyadh Air

Use Riyadh Air's Manage your order page, the app, or the contact options on its website.

Booked with AirFiesta

We handle it for you. See the steps above.

Beware of fake Riyadh Air phone numbers

Search results for Riyadh Air help are full of third-party pages listing numbers that may not be official. We do not print a Riyadh Air number here. Use the contact options on riyadhair.com or the agency that sold you the ticket, and never share card details with a number you found in a search result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my Riyadh Air flight?

Riyadh Air's Manage your order help page has a section titled "Flight changes after Order purchase", so changes exist, but we could not read the rules under it. What you can change and what it costs depend on your fare bundle. Check your booking on riyadhair.com or ask the agency that issued your ticket before you commit to a plan.

What are Riyadh Air's fare bundles?

Riyadh Air's fare bundles page lists, for international flights, Economy Lite, Smart and Flex, Premium Economy Lite, Smart and Flex, and Business Smart, Flex and Elite. Domestic flights offer Economy Lite, Smart and Flex, Premium Economy Smart and Flex, and Business Smart, Flex and Elite. Older guides use other fare names, which we could not match.

How much does Riyadh Air charge to change a flight?

We could not find a published change fee. The help text that holds fee rules did not load for us, so we do not quote any amount. Older pages list dollar ranges by fare, but we could not match them to Riyadh Air's documents. Check the amount shown for your own booking before you agree.

Does Riyadh Air have a 24-hour cancellation rule?

Riyadh Air's help page has a "Cooling off period" section and a later section titled "Cancellations after the 24 hour cooling off period", so a 24-hour window exists. We could not read its conditions, such as how far ahead of departure you must book or how to cancel. Confirm them on riyadhair.com before relying on it.

Are Riyadh Air tickets refundable?

Riyadh Air's cancel and refund page covers refunds before departure on a fully unused order, after departure on a partly used order, and after an upgrade. Its summary says refunds are typically processed within 14 days. We could not read which fares are refundable, so check the refund terms for your fare bundle.

What does Riyadh Air mean by an order?

Riyadh Air describes bookings as orders on its help pages, in line with modern airline retailing. Your order holds your flights and extras. A fully unused order and a partly used order are treated differently for refunds, so tell Riyadh Air or your agency whether you have already flown any part of the trip.

What happens if I miss my Riyadh Air flight?

Riyadh Air's Manage your order page has a "No-show policy" section, but we could not read its wording. The general airline pattern is that an unflown flight can cancel the rest of the trip, so contact Riyadh Air or your agency before departure if you may miss a flight.

What if Riyadh Air delays or cancels my flight?

Riyadh Air's disruption policy page describes refunds, support and delay compensation up to 150 SDR. We could not read when the compensation applies or how to claim it. Use Riyadh Air's own passenger rights page and claim process for your flight.

Can I change the name on a Riyadh Air ticket?

We could not find a name-correction procedure or fee on the pages we could read. The Manage your order headings we saw do not list one. Contact Riyadh Air or the agency that issued the ticket as soon as you notice a mistake, before you travel, and check every name against the passport before you pay.

Can I change a Riyadh Air booking made through a travel agent?

The agency that issued your ticket controls the booking, and Riyadh Air's fare rules apply on top of any fee the agency charges. If you booked with AirFiesta, tell us your booking reference and we will confirm the options and costs before anything is changed.

Is the Riyadh Air phone number on other websites genuine?

Be careful. Many third-party pages list phone numbers for Riyadh Air that the airline may not publish for changes. We do not print a Riyadh Air number here. Use the contact options on riyadhair.com or the agency that sold you the ticket, and never share card details with a number you found in a search result.

How we keep this guide current

This guide reports what Riyadh Air's help pages confirm. Their section text is built in JavaScript and did not load for us, and the Conditions of Carriage page also needs JavaScript, so we could read headings, bundle names and summary lines only. When a fee, deadline or rule is not clearly published, we say so rather than guess. We removed older claims that we could not match to Riyadh Air's documents, including dollar fee ranges, the fare names Guest Saver, Guest Flex and Business Select, a 24-hour change rule for every fare, a two-hour online change deadline and a twelve-month rebooking limit.
